This itinerary leads to the discovery of Bhutan’s most sacred sites blessed by Guru Rinpoche during his journey from India to Tibet in the 8th century, combining spirituality, culture, and pristine nature. Bhutan, known as Druk Yul (“Land of the Thunder Dragon”), is one of the last strongholds of Buddhismo Vajrayana and maintains a deep sacred relationship with its Himalayan landscape.
The journey passes through monasteries, sacred sanctuaries, and lesser-known trails, with accessible trekking routes and mostly comfortable hotel accommodations, enriched by more authentic experiences such as a night in a monastery and one in a tent. Among the highlights is the famous Paro Taktsang, the cliffside monastery where Guru Rinpoche meditated and today one of Bhutan’s most iconic spiritual sites.
