Thailand and Koh Yao Noi island

15 days

There is no doubt that Thailand is one of the best honeymoon destination not only in Asia but around the world! It’s not only a romantic getaway for all their turquoise waters and palm-lined, white-sand beauty, but also for its cultural richness and extraordinary scenaries. This itinerary is a unique concept created by Conscious Journeys for individuals willing to travel in an ecological way.
It will bring you to cruise over the Chao Phraya river towards the ancient capital of Ayutthaya, stay as guests of a hill tribe in some of the most remote forest eco-resorts and finally relax in one of the most beautiful tropical island in the heart of the bay of Phang-Nga. During all the tour we selected charming hotels, but with a particular attention to sustainable tourism policy, employing local workers and getting their supplies from local markets.
After the first two days in Bagkok where you will start your discover of the Country, you will later visit the most important cultural and historical sites located on the road between Bangkok and Chiang Rai. A traditional rice barges provide the setting for an overnight relaxing river cruise between Bangkok and the UNESCO world heritage city of Ayutthaya. The cruise gives you an opportunity to revisit the ‘old Siam’ and see a charming way of life of local people along the Chao Phraya River.
In Chiang Rai and Chang Mai you will be host in eco-friendly community-based lodges nestled high on the hills of northern Thailand. They offers hill tribe holidays that combine hill tribe experience with eco-friendly tours such as hiking and Hmong batik class. Contributions from your stay will be used on community projects that will improve the local hill tribe people’s living conditions.
Finally from Chaing Mai you will fly to the south where a perfect ‘ZEN’ hotel is waiting for you. Not only because of its exceptional location on one of Thailand’s most beautiful beaches, or because of its superb panoramic views, but mainly because of the very soul of the place. The resort offers yoga programs, care and treatments, as well as beautiful walks on the island. One can here practice scuba-diving or swim, in full quietness. Located in the heart of the bay of Phang-Nga, the hotel beach is sheltered from the tides and is therefore suitable for swimming. The hotel has an excellent restaurant preparing freshly-caught fishes and seafood for a refined clientele, slightly laid-back and aiming pure relaxation, comfort and tranquility.
